School sports ground, boiler house damaged in Ukrainian heavy artillery strike – JCCC

Donetsk, Mar 19 – DAN. Ukrainian army 122mm artillery shelled northern Donetsk at midnight damaging the boiler house and the sports ground of Boarding School No 5, the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“At 23:35 on Wednesday, Ukrainian armed formations in the Opytnoye settlement area opened fire towards the Spartak village,” the JCCC said.

The JCCC updates said that Ukrainian forces had used 122mm artillery and that damage to the boiler house and the sports ground of the boarding school at 1 Lesnaya Street had been recorded .

Donetsk’s Kievskiy district administration told the Donetsk News Agency said that the school was not functioning at the time of the strike.

Earlier reports said that this strike had damaged a gas pipe. On Thursday morning, three houses were damaged as Kiev forces shelled northern Gorlovka.*jk
