Ukrainian forces shell Donetsk, house catches fire – JCCC

Donetsk, Sep 11 – DAN. A house caught fire in the Trudovskaya neighbourhood in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district as Ukrainian forces shelled the area, the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Wednesday.

“At 14:40, Ukrainian armed formations opened small arms fire in the direction of Trudovskaya in Donetsk,” the report said. “As a result, the house at 67 Mamin-Sibiryak Street caught fire.”

The DPR Militia said that fire had been delivered from positions of the Ukrainian army’s 28th Mechanised Brigade commanded by Maxim Marchenko.

“We urge OSCE Mission international monitors to immediately intervene in the situation and put pressure on Ukrainian armed formations to make them keep the truce,” the DPR militia said.

Earlier reports said that Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 12 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 120 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas. Four houses in Donetsk and Gorlovka were damaged and destroyed.*jk
