DPR extends schools’ autumn holidays by one week
Under Order No 1423 published on the Ministry’s website on Thursday, the Ministry amended its resolution dated October 4, 2020 on the strength of the protocol of the meeting of the COVID-19 crisis headquarters.
The new document sets 28-day autumn holidays at DPR comprehensive schools, from October 5 to November 1. The duration of winter and spring holidays has remained unchanged: from December 31 to January 7 and from March 22 to March 28, 2021.
Earlier reports said that the education providers of of all forms of ownership had to switch to online classes starting October 12 until further notice. The Ministry of Education and Science published the relevant resolutions on its website on Thursday.
The DPR currently has 5,599 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 2,509 people have been discharged from hospitals, 2,686 are undergoing treatment and 404 have died. The Republic has reported 90 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday.*jk
