DPR universities to switch to online classes starting Sep 28 due to COVID-19

Donetsk, Sep 25 – DAN. Donetsk Republic higher education centres will provide instruction online from September 28 till October 11 due to COVID-19, according to DPR Education and Science Ministry Decree No 1321 published on its website on Friday.

“Education institutions of all forms of ownership in higher professional education will use online education technologies starting September 28, 2020 till October 11, 2020,” the document said.

The heads of Donetsk Combined Arms Command and Staff College, Donetsk Police Academy, Civil Defence Academy, Gorky Donetsk National Medical University and Prokofiev Donetsk State Music Academy were ordered to coordinate changes in the education process with supervisory executive bodies.

Wages to university staff and employees on non-teaching jobs will be paid as usual.

Latest reports said the DPR had 321 confirmed novel coronavirus infection cases; 2,007 people had recovered and 165 had died. The DPR has been on high alert against the danger of COVID-19 outbreak.*jk
