DPR pays RUR 75 mln to residents on sick leave since beginning of pandemic – Ministry

Donetsk, Oct 20 – DAN. The Donetsk Republic Insurance Fund for Temporary Incapacity and Maternity Leave has paid 75 million rubles ($ 961,538) since March to residents on sick leave or in COVID-19 self-isolation, the DPR Labour and Social Policy Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“Overall, 75 million roubles have been paid to holders of certificates of temporary incapacity in connection with COVID-19, which were submitted to the Fund’s branches in the period from March 14, 2020 to October 15, 2020,” the report said.

Over the designated period, 11,640 temporary incapacity certificates were issued to residents who self-isolated against the coronavirus infection.

The Fund pays sickness benefits in full for the whole period of suspension from work due to COVID-19-related “contact with the infected or bacteria carrying.”

The Republic has been on high alert in connection with the COVID-19 threat since March 14.  It has confirmed 5,392 COVID-19 cases, according to latest reports.*jk
