Ukrainian 35th brigade introduces awards for jamming SMM’s UAVs

Donetsk, Nov 2 – DAN. Commanders of the 35th Ukrainian brigade will award service members for jamming SMM’s unmanned aerial vehicles, the DPR People’s Militia revealed citing intelligence.

“To conceal the violations of the ceasefire from the SMM patrols, the 35th brigade will award 20,000 hryvnya to a mobile electronic warfare group in case it successfully jams  SMM UAV’s control channels,” the report reads.

In October, Ukrainian brigades commanders were ordered to develop counteraction plans against OSCE SMM monitoring activities. The following week, six incidents of UAV jamming were reported.

Last year, the commander of the Ukrainian 502 separate electronic warfare battalion was recommended for a state award for successfully fighting OSCE UAVs in Donbass.*ot
