Kiev forces jam SMM UAVs over six locations in a week
Donetsk, Oct 23 – DAN. Ukrainian forces jammed OSCE mission’s UAVs on six occasions over the past week, said DPR Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.
“Active operations of 305th separate warfare battalion’s and 35th warfare company 35th brigade’s mobile groups was recorded in the vicinity of Mayorsk, Klescheyevka, Petrovskoye, Grodovka, Krasnoarmeisk, Nikolayevka with employment of Bukovel-AD systems and R-330 KV1M systems.”
According to Basurin, Ukrainian military use these systems to jam SMM’s UAVs to prevent them from recording disguised equipment located close to the Contact Line in violation of the Additional Measures.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
