Ukrainian army launches hunt on SMM’s UAVs  

Donetsk, May 29 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces have installed 20 air defense systems in six townships to neutralize SMM’s unmanned aerial vehicles, the DPR Militia HQ on Friday.

“Members of the 10th, 24th, 54th and 57th brigades deployed 20 Osa short-range tactical surface-to-air missile systems and Strela-10 short-range surface-to-air missile systems in Mironovskiy, Dachenskoye, Pokrovsk, Kalinovo, Taramchuk and Nikolskoye, to down SMM’s UAVs in case electronic warfare systems fail to jam them.”

During the week, 20th and 502nd electronic warfare battalions’ mobile groups jammed the control channels of the mission’s UAVs with R-934B Sinitsa and Bukovel-AD electronic warfare systems outside Stepanovka, Svetlodarsk, Mironovskiy and Lebedinskoye.
