Ukrainian forces violate additional ceasefire control measures six times over 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Aug 25 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have not opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, but violated at least two provisions of the Additional Measures to Control the Ceasefire, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

The JCCC reported six violations overall, including five on the Gorlovka axis. Two facts of engineer works at Ukrainian armed formations positions in the Shumy and Novgorodskoye settlements were recorded. Ukrainian forces launched an unmanned aerial vehicle in the Novoluganskoye area and later on an UAV was launched in the Vodyanoye area, and explosions occurred in Zhovanka and Shumy (no details are available), the JCCC said.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian armed formations observed the ceasefire and violated the “Additional Measures” once.

The Additional Measures to Control the Ceasefire came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, engineer works, use of UAVs etc.*jk
