Ukraine violates additional ceasefire control measures on contact line with DPR once over 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Sep 1 – DAN. Ukrainian army units have not opened fire at the Donetsk Republic over the past 24 hours but violated the Additional Measures to Strengthen Ceasefire in Donbass once, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

At 7:00 on Monday, Ukrainian serviceman in the Verkhnetoretskoye settlement area carried out an explosion; supposedly, a mine barrier was detonated, the JCCC said.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian armed formations observed the ceasefire and violated the “Additional Measures” four times.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, engineer works, use of unmanned aerial vehicles etc., and also envisions punishment for violators.*jk
