Morning on the line: Ukrainian forces shell Yakovlevka, launch UAVs, blasts heard

Donetsk, Oct 16 – DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire targeting Yakovlevka north-east of Yasinovataya, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

“Ukrainian armed formations opened small arms fire targeting Yakovlevka from the direction of Avdeyevka at 9.10 a.m.”

An UAV was spotted over Vodyanoye at 9.04 a.m – 10 a.m. Five explosions were heard.

Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire twice over the past 24 hours.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
