Kiev forces shell southern DPR with mortars

Donetsk, Oct 23 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened 82 mm mortars fire on the township of Dzerzhinskoye in the DPR south, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

“A shelling from the Ukrainian side was reported at 10.25 a.m. targeting Dzerzhinskoye, four 82 mm rounds were fired.”

The fire originated from Vodyanoye outside Mariupol.

Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire three times over the past 24 hours. The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
