Ukrainian servicemen fire at DPR from morning till evening on Epiphany day – JCCC

Donetsk, Jan 19 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have fired at Donetsk People’s Republic areas throughout Epiphany day, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.

The first strike was recorded at 8:32. Four recoilless gun rounds were fired at the Leninskoye village in southern DPR. The next strikes were delivered at 11:10 and 13:17 as Leninskoye came under fire again.   Kiev forces fired two underbarrel grenade launcher rounds at the settlement. The enemy also used small arms and large calibre machine guns, the JCCC said.

At 16:23, the Kominternovo village in southern DPR came under small arms fire. At 18:30, seven automatic grenade launcher rounds were fired at the Shakhta Gagarina settlement in the outskirts of Gorlovka; small arms were also used.

The DPR celebrated Epiphany on Tuesday. Services were held at 124 churches and 39 water bodies across the Republic.  DPR residents also took part in traditional Epiphany dips.*jk
