Ukrainian forces shell outskirts of Donetsk, Yasinovataya with mortars – Yakubov

Donetsk, Apr 2 – DAN. The Ukrainian army shelled  the northern outskirts of Donetsk and Yasinovataya with mortars on Tuesday afternoon, head of the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said.

“Today, at 15:35, Ukrainian forces shelled the Spartak village north of Donetsk; two 120mm mortar rounds were fired,” Yakubov said.

“At 15:20, Ukrainian army units delivered a strike at the Mineralnoye village north of Yasinovataya with two 82mm mortar rounds, two recoilless gun (SPG) rounds and 29 automatic grenade launcher (AGS) rounds, he said adding that small arms had been used in both attacks as well.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said that Ukrainian armed formations shelled the DPR with more than 200 rounds of ammunition over the past 24 hours.*jk
