Nikonorova says Contact Group meets once in a fortnight, no changes to this schedule

Donetsk, Apr 18 – DAN. The idea to have the Contact Group to meet once in a week has never been voiced at the talks, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.

Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky said yesterday speaking at the Ukraina TV Channel that the Contact Group had decided to hold meetings every week.

“This is the first time we hear about weekly meeting allegedly agreed to,” Nikonorova said.

“The Contact Group and its subgroups meet regularly in accordance with the schedule worked out during the talks, that is a very comfortable and understandable schedule: every two weeks.”

Recently the talks are held in the video format and for technical reasons it takes three days to discuss all the issues. The participants continue work between the meetings as they prepare and review propositions and drafts and hold extraordinary meetings if needed. *ot
