Nikonorova calls for more effective measures to stabilize military situation in Donbass

Donetsk, Oct 15 – DAN. The Donetsk Republic representative to the Contact Group talks Natalia Nikonorova reminded Kiev about the necessity to observe the additional ceasefire control measures towards the Donbass settlement.

“During the Contact Group meeting, Natalia Nikonorova underlined the necessity to take more effective measures in ensuring the ceasefire, because the contact line situation becomes increasingly critical every day,” the DPR Foreign Ministry said.

The DPR envoy drew the negotiators’ attention to the need to observe additional ceasefire control measures, such as investigation into ceasefire violations and strict disciplinary punishment of the offenders.

In July, the Contact Group finalised additional ceasefire control measures. These include a ban on offensives and reconnaissance and subversive operations and the deployment of heavy armaments in residential areas, as well as punishment of ceasefire violators.*jk
