Donbass needs new export-oriented economic model – DPR Head

Donetsk, Oct 29 – DAN. The new economic model of the Donetsk Republic needs to have a strong focus on exports, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said the Donetsk International Investment Forum opening ceremony on Tuesday.

“We need a new model of the Republic’s economy with a powerful export-oriented element,” Pushilin said. “We have to use special infrastructure mechanisms, including international settlements to bypass the West’s sanction policy.”

The International Investment Forum was launched in the DPR capital’s Sharthtar Plaza Hotel earlier in the day. Representatives of more than 15 foreign countries are taking part in the event.*jk
