50 delegations from Russia, LPR taking part in Donetsk intl economic forum

Donetsk, May 21 – DAN. The 5th international forum Donbass Innovative Prospects: Infrastructure and Socio-Economic Development opened  at the Donetsk National Technical University on Tuesday, the Donetsk Republic Education and Science Ministry press service said.

“The forum gathered more than 1,000 participants including representatives of DPR ministries, research organisations, higher education centres and industrial companies as well as 50 delegations from the Lugansk Republic and the Russian Federation,” the Ministry said. “Scientists, teachers and students from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Bulgaria are attending the forum virtually.”

The forum is hosted by the Donetsk National Technical University which arranged an R & D achievements exhibition. Some 60 participants displayed 3D printer models, walking robots, an electric car with skid control etc.

The forum featuring 25 theme events will last three days. The leading DPR universities were selected as forum venues. The participants will discuss government scientific and technological policy goals and the research guidelines that can contribute to the Republic’s socio-economic development.*jk
