Pushilin plans DPR exports talks at Petersburg forum

Donetsk, Jun 6 – DAN. Donetsk Republic Head Denis Pushilin said he would hold talks at the Petersburg Economic Forum 2019 with international partners over export and import issues.

“Our Republic has a huge industrial potential and a promising destination market,” Pushilin told reporters on Thursday. “We have planned a number of business meetings hoping to interest international partners in cooperation with our companies.”

He also said that the DPR leadership pinned great hopes on the forum. “It is the largest economic platform in Russia which brought together business representatives from over 140 countries across the world this year,” the DPR leader said.

Earlier reports said that a DPR delegation was on a visit to St Petersburg. It includes DPR government chairman Alexander Ananchenko, Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova, Finance Minister Yana Chausova, Tax and Revenue Minister Yevgeny Lavrenov and other officials.

The Petersburg economic forum will run till June 8. The unique annual economic and business event, launched in 1997, has been organised under the auspices of the Russian president since 2006. The forum has become a leading international platform for communication between business people and discussion of key economic issues facing Russia, emerging economics and the world at large.*jk
