Kiev forces fire 40-plus mortar rounds at DPR in one hour

Donetsk, Dec 28 – DAN. Ukrainian forces fired 40-plus rounds in one hour targeting the DPR, the Republic’s mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

Shakhta Gagarina, Novaya Tavriya, Leninskoye came under attack today. The enemy fired 42 mortar rounds of 120 mm caliber from their positions outside Shumy and Vodyanoye.

Earlier reports said that Kiev forces opened grenade launcher fire on the Shakhta Trudovskaya township in western Donetsk. In the morning, the enemy shelled western Gorlovka and southern areas of the Republic.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
