DPR reports 17 new COVID-19 cases

Donetsk, Aug 12 – DAN.  DPR has registered 17 new cases of COVID-19 as the total number of confirmed cases climbed to 1,980, the Ministry of Health said.

“The Ministry of Health reports that tests revealed 17 cases of COVID-19 in the DPR on August 11.”

Six of the patients arrived from Ukraine; the rest had contacts with previously infected.

Thirty seven people have recovered and tested negative twice.

Overall, 938 patients recovered, 929 are being treated.

On March 14, the DPR went on high alert in connection with the threat of the coronavirus infection spread.

As of August 12, 1,433 new patients were registered in Ukraine bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 84,548.*ot
