DPR thwarts Ukrainian reconnaissance squad attempt to infiltrate the Republic

Donetsk, Aug 16 – DAN. DPR People’s Militia has thwarted an attempt of Ukrainian reconnaissance squad to infiltrate the DPR.

“Ukrainian occupants of the 35th marine brigade have attempted to infiltrate the DPR. Approximately at midnight, north of Nikolayavka (Dokuchayevsk district), a saboteur-reconnaissance squad of 11 troops attempted to approach our defenders’ positions,” the report reads.

At the same time  DPR People’s Militia spotted and downed a Ukrainian UAV. After that the saboteur squad retreated to its positions.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot
