DPR sets up state corporation to manage mineral prospecting, extraction

Donetsk, Sep 24- DAN. The Donetsk Republic has established the Mineral Resources state corporation. The relevant decree by DPR Head Denis Pushilin was published on his official website on Thursday.

The state corporation will ensure DPR economic security, innovative development and economic modernisation and perform control, management and other functions.

It will take part in state projects and programmes to carry out geological surveys in areas of interest, geologic-economic evaluation, operation of mineral deposits, production and export of mining industry products, production, promotion and exports of goods associated with this production and promotion and exports of related intellectual property.

The state corporation will monitor the financial standing of organisations involved in the implementation of projects, programmes and contacts related to the extraction of minerals. It will also participate in the development of legislation to regulate the mining sector.

The decree comes into force on the date of publication.*jk
