DPR Head endorses provision on People’s Militia command

Donetsk, Dec 3 – DAN. Donetsk Republic Head Denis Pushilin has endorsed the provision on Militia command. The relevant decree was published on his official website on Thursday.

Under Decree No 418, the command and control of Militia is in the hands of the Head of the Donetsk Republic. The main functions and tasks include defence of the territory of the state, rebuff of armed aggression, and organisation of troops service, recruitment, conscription and training.

The DPR Militia has the right to conclude international interdepartmental treaties and review cases of administrative offence. The Militia can be renamed, reorganised or liquidated, in this case, social guarantees will be provided to personnel in accordance with the legislation.

Pushilin’s decree came into force on the date of publication.*jk
