Non-functioning school in Gorlovka hit by Ukrainian shelling – city mayor

Donetsk, Jan 31 – DAN. A non-functioning school in western Gorlovka has been damaged this morning as a result of shelling, said the head of the city administration Ivan Prikhodko.

“A direct hit by mortar rounds was recorded at 8.28 a.m., the roof of the former school No. 75 in Shakhta 6/7 has been damaged,” he said.

No casualties have been reported. The school is not functioning, but there is a functioning bomb shelter in the building.

The JCCC has dispatched a team to confirm the reports.

Gorlovka is located in the north of DPR. The city has been a target of Ukrainian armed formations since 2014. Hundreds of buildings and houses have been damaged since. *ot
