Kiev army fires at bus carrying Donetsk Water Treatment Plant workers – JCCC

Donetsk, Nov 5 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at the bus carrying Donetsk Water Treatment Plant workers to Yasinovataya after a change of shift, the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

“Ukrainian armed formations in the Avdeyevka town area fired small arms in the direction of the Kashtanovoye settlement,” the report said. “Fire was delivered at the bus which was driving along the H-20 road toward Yasinovataya after a change of shift at the Donetsk Water Treatment plant. By good fortune, nobody was hurt.”

The ceasefire violation was recorded by an OSCE Special Monitoring Mission patrol. The Mission has not yet responded to a prompt enquiry  sent by the Donetsk News Agency.

Ukraine was requested to provide additional security guarantees which made it possible to complete the Water Treatment Plant shift change.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights. Violations of accords by Ukraine such as strikes, launches of drones,including attack drones, and engineer works, are recorded regularly.*jk
