Pushilin reveals 20 pc salary rises for 2020

Donetsk, Dec 18 – DAN. DPR is to increase pensions and salaries of public officials starting from January 1, 2020, the Republic’s Head Denis Pushilin said.

“Republican economic sector is growing, new market opportunities emerge, and income to the budget consequently grows. Due to this fact, state employees would get a 26 pc pay raise, including doctors, teachers, social workers. Pensioners will see benefits rise by 20 pc.”

The announced increase is the fifth in the DPR history. The raises shall be the same for all recipients.

“In 2015 minimum pension was at 1,900 rubles (30.34 USD). It has more than doubles in five years.”

Pushilin said there are plans to increase other social benefits. *ot
