DPR, LPR activists join political subgroup talks for first time

Donetsk, Jan 19 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic public figures are taking part in a session of the Contact Group political subgroup on Donbass for the first time on Tuesday, the DPR Foreign Ministry reported.

“Today, the Republic’s public representatives are taking part in a session of the working group on political issues for the firs time,” the report said. “The invited public figures will give their expert opinion on relevant agenda items.”

Lugansk People’s Republic representative in the political subgroup Rodion Miroshnik said on his Telegram channel that LPR public figures had joined the subgroup’s talks as well.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said that the subgroups on humanitarian and political issues had begun their first sessions in Minsk this year. The group on economic issues is also expected to meet on Tuesday. The security subgroup held talks on Monday. The Contact Group video conference is scheduled for January 21.*jk
