Minsk humanitarian subgroup begins talks via video conference

Donetsk, Jun 9 – DAN. The Contact Group humanitarian subgroup has begun negotiations via video conference, the Donetsk Republic Ombudsperson Office reported on Tuesday.

“The humanitarian working group of the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk on settling the Donbass crisis has begun to work,” the report said. “The meeting will be held in the format of video conference.”

The agenda includes the discussion of the December 19, 2019 and April 16, 2020 prisoner exchanges between the DPR and Ukraine. The parties are also expected to consider the next phase of prisoner exchange and a plan of measures towards seeking the whereabouts of  persons, as well as forensic identification.

Minsk is hosting Donbass peace talks on Tuesday. All the working groups will have meetings.  A Contact Group videoconference is scheduled for June 10.*jk
