★ Ukraine blocks security subgroup’s work – JCCC

Donetsk, Nov 24 – DAN. Ukrainian representatives blocked the work of the Contact Group subgroup on security issues on Tuesday; the session ended early, the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

“Ukraine has blocked the discussion of the key items on the agenda of the working group on security issues,” the report said. “Kiev’s representatives did not present their positions on coordinating the updated package of measures to strengthen the ceasefire, the coordination mechanism or other security issues spelled out in the road map which had been suggested by the Republics.”

The meeting ended early due to a lack of progress, the JCCC added.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said the subgroup’s agenda addressed ceasefire violations and other security arrangements. Representatives of the Republics also planned to discuss details of the coordination mechanism operation. *jk
