Total number of COVID-19 cases in DPR surpasses 5,500

Donetsk, Oct 21 – DAN. The total number of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic has exceeded 5,500, the Ministry of Health said.

“As of October 21, the total number of COVID-19 has reached 5,509,” the report reads.

In the past 24 hours, 117 new cases were revealed; 43 people were discharged from hospitals after testing negative twice; 18 virus-related deaths were reported.

The total of 2,461 patients recovered, while 2,663 are being treated; the total of 385 died.

The health authority said that in Ukraine 6,719 new cases had been reported in 24 hours, the total number of cases was at 315,826, of those 5,927 died. *ot
