DPR expects escalation as US military diplomats visit JFO zone

Donetsk, Feb 10 – DAN. The arrival of American military diplomats to Donbass fuels the destabilization along the contact line, the DPR People’s Militia HQ said.

“Ukrainian criminal authorities are planning a provocation using artillery units. We do not rule out the possibility that the activity is connected with the work of the of military attaché office delegation of the USA embassy in Ukraine. The delegation visited the JFO zone on February 10-14,” the report reads.

The DPR intelligence also reported Ukrainian and western journalists activity close to the contact line, who arrived to stage fake videos with the purpose of blaming the DPR of ceasefire violations further on.

“Brigade commanders Dmitry Kaschenko and Gennady Shapovalov, in whose zones of responsibility the journalists are working, are acting on the command of the Ukrainian Combined Task Force North commander Petr Romigailo. They are tasked with assisting the filming of fake videos.”

Donetsk has called on the international monitors to prevent the escalation.

Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 50 times this week, firing over 230 shells, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.*ot
