DPR intelligence reports Ukrainian hardware in residential areas near contact line

Donetsk, Aug 1 – DAN. Ukrainian forces deployed military hardware in residential areas of Kiev-controlled settlements near the contact line in Donbass, the Donetsk Republic Militia press service reported on Thursday.

“Our intelligence recorded the deployment of military hardware next to dwelling houses on the premises of municipal facilities in the settlements of Konstantinovka, Troitskoye, Bogdanovka and Avdeyevka” the report said.

In Gnutovo, Fyodorovka and Novosyolovka Vtoraya, Ukraine’s  20th Radioelectronic Warfare Battalion jams OSCE unmanned aerial vehicles to conceal the movement of military hardware, the press service added.

The recommitment to comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire which came into force in the region at 00:01 on July 21 prohibits the deployment of heavy weapons in or close to residential areas, in the first place on the premises of civil infrastructure facilities such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals or public places.*jk
