Pushilin blames Kiev for delaying prisoner exchange

Donetsk, Dec 17 – DAN. The Ukrainian leadership is deliberately delaying the prisoner exchange with the Donbass Republics, Donetsk Republic Head Denis Pushilin said at a press briefing in Donetsk on Tuesday.

“Kiev is not willing to ensure a clean exchange under the “all verified for all verified” formula and deliberately delays the process,” Pushilin said.

“The refusal to carry out legal clearance of the detained persons shows Kiev’s wish to resume criminal prosecution (of the detainees),” he said adding that Kiev had acted in the same manner with regard to exchanged militiamen before.*jk
