DPR Emergencies Ministry sanitising vehicles on border with Russia, LPR

Donetsk, Apr 2 – DAN. Donetsk Republic Emergencies Ministry personnel began disinfecting vehicles at the international crossing points to prevent the import of the coronavirus infection into the Republic, the Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

“The DPR Emergencies Ministry will sanitise vehicles at the international crossing points with Russia and customs points with the Lugansk Republic starting April 2, 2020c,” the report said.

Specialists make sure that the vehicles are properly sanitised inside and out. They have modern equipment and sufficient supply of disinfectants, the Ministry said.

Earlier reports said that the customs checkpoints “M-03 Motorway 759th kilometre”, “Nikishino” and “Snezhnoye on the border between the DPR and the LPR will be temporarily shut down beginning from April2 midnight. Entry into Russia has been limited since March 27.

On March 14, the DPR went on high alert in connection with the COVID-19 threat. As of now, the DPR has reported two COVID-19 cases.*jk
