Taylor’s statements on peacekeepers give away his incompetence – Nikonorova

Donetsk, Dec 27 – DAN. The statement of the U.S. acting Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine William Taylor on the necessity to deploy peacekeepers to Donbass proves his incompetence, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.

Earlier Taylor said that such a mission should be approved by the UN Security Council and sent in as an intermediate step before Ukraine regains control over the border with Russia.

“Taylor seems to be competing with Ukrainian officials in terms of incompetence. Minsk Agreements clearly indicate that restoration of control over the border is possible only after a comprehensive settlement of the conflict,” Nikonorova said.

No revision of the Minsk Agreements is possible, she reiterated.

“Kiev should choose – either to fulfill the agreements or acknowledge its inability to do so.”*ot
