Donetsk, Apr 8 – DAN. Seventh patient with COVID-19 has been registered in the DPR, the Ministry of Health said.

“The Ministry of Health reports that tests revealed another case of COVID-19 in the DPR on April 8.”

The patient is a 35-year-old male who returned to the Republic from Russia on April 4 through Uspenka checkpoint and remained in self-isolation. Two days later he called for medical aid and was hospitalized.

He is in satisfactory condition. His relatives are in isolation under medical surveillance.

Thirteen patients were hospitalized with suspected COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Overall, 182 patients remain in hospitals, while almost 14,500 people are in self-isolation at their homes.

The Hotline for questions concerning the new coronavirus infection has received 1,008 calls so far.

On March 14, the DPR went on high alert in connection with the threat of the coronavirus infection spread.

Latest reports said that there were more than a 1.3 mln COVID-19 cases across the world; nearly 74,000 people have died. Out of the 212 affected countries, areas or territories the largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is recorded in the US, Spain and Italy. *ot
