Security subgroup begins video conference on “spring ceasefire” – Yakubov

Donetsk, Mar 7 – DAN. The Contact Group security subgroup participants began a video conference on Thursday, head of the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov told the Donetsk News Agency.

“The security subgroup participants are having a meeting via video conferencing,” Yakubov said. “It is focused on reaching an accord on the date and time of the “spring ceasefire.”

Earlier reports said that the “spring ceasefire” in Donbass might come into effect overnight to March 8 in case of a positive outcome of the talks on Thursday.

At the security subgroup talks in Minsk on February 27, the Donbass Republics’ representatives suggested that the parties reconfirm their “spring ceasefire” commitments but Ukraine did not support the proposal at that time.*jk
