Pushilin: DPR media must make quantum leap in the context of information war

Donetsk, Oct 23 – DAN. DPR mass media must make the quantum leap in the context of ongoing information war, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin speaking at the Donetsk Republic social movement general meeting.

“Political awareness of our people is an utmost importance. We all know how gossip and fakes breed fears and contribute to social unrest, which is understandable in the conditions of an information war. We should do our best to deliver truth. That is what mass media exist for. I believe state media must advance to a completely new level,” he said.

Pushilin said that media should extend their coverage of the population and make information more available to improve the level of trust.

Earlier he urged public officials to engage into a sincere dialog with people and avoid formalities. *ot
