Donetsk, May 15 – DAN. Two Ukrainian marines have deserted their unit with arms and assaulted a civilian outside Volnovakha, said the head of the DPR People’s Militia command press service Daniil Bezsonov.

“We receive reports on low morale in the Ukrainian army where troops are unwilling to follow orders. The honorary first place goes to the 35th marine brigade. The search for two armed deserters of the 137th battalion is ongoing.

“They have already assaulted a civilian in Vladimirovka outside Volnovakha.”

Reports said in May that 1,252 Ukrainian troops participating in the JFO are listed as missing or deserters. *ot
