DPR reports 218 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Donetsk, Jan 22 – DAN. DPR has registered 218 new cases of COVID-19 as the total number of confirmed cases climbed to 18,829, the Ministry of Health said.

“The Ministry of Health reports that 495 tests revealed 201 cases of COVID-19 in the DPR on January 21, additional 17 cases were diagnosed based on symptoms.”

In the past 24 hours, 40 people were discharged from hospitals after testing negative twice; 21 virus-related deaths were reported.

The total of 10,345 patients recovered, while 6,818 are being treated; the total of 1,666 died.

The health authority said that in Ukraine 5,348 new cases had been reported in 24 hours, the total number of cases has exceed one million, of those 21,662 died. *ot
