Five houses south of Donetsk damaged in Kiev army mortar strike as subgroup on security holds talks

Donetsk, Feb 2 – DAN. Five houses in the Signalnoye village south of Donetsk were damaged in a Ukrainian army strike on Tuesday, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported.

Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces at around 17:00 opened fire at the Yelenovka settlement which is located next to Signalnoye. Ten 122mm mortar rounds and 15 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds were fired.

The houses at 12, 13, 15, 16 Gagarina Street and 2 Pionerskaya Street were damaged in the strike, the JCCC said noting that the strike was delivered as the Contact Group subgroup on security issue held a video conference session.*jk
