JCCC: Repairs at Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct completed

Donetsk, Apr 15 – DAN. Repair works on the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct have been finalized, the DPR mission to the JCCC said.

“Repair works to contain a leak on the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct outside Krutaya Balka, Yasinovataya area, have been finished.”

The repair began this morning after the Ukrainian side provided security guarantees. The JCCC and the OSCE SMM members were monitoring the works.

Vasilyevskaya pumping station is located in the Vasilyevskoye village outside Yasinovataya. It is connected to the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct providing water to residential areas on both sides of the contact line. It regularly becomes target of the Ukrainian fire.

The latest of the shelling incidents in the area occurred on April 11. Repair works began the next day but were interrupted by renewed attacks despite the safety guarantees provided by Ukraine. *ot
