DPR’s confirmed COVID-19 cases approaching 15,000 – Health Ministry

Donetsk, Dec 29 – DAN. Two hundred and twenty-three new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Healthcare Ministry reported on Tuesday.

“DPR medics carried out 447 tests on December 28; 171 people tested positive and another 52 showed clinical and epidemiological signs of COVID-19,” the report said.

The DPR currently has 14,898 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 4,897 people continue in- or outpatient treatment, 8,663 have recovered and 1,338 have died.

Ukraine has reported 6,988 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours; 1,037,362 people have got infected and 18,081 have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.

Earlier, Ukraine daily reported more than 10,000 or 12,000 new COVID-19 cases. The coronavirus infection rate deceased sharply as the number of tested individuals dropped, experts said.*jk
