DPR to compensate Ukrainian debt to Voda Donbassa staff with 350 mln rub total worth

Donetsk, Oct 14 – DAN. The Donetsk Republic government is planning to pay the Ukrainian debts to Voda Donbassa water company employees worth 354 mln rubles total, said the minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Minister Sergey Naumets on Wednesday.

“As for the debt of the Voda Donbassa to its employees, a draft law has been drawn defining the mechanism to settle the debt, it is to be endorsed by the government. I hope it happens soon,” he said.

Currently the company employs approximately 6,000 people. It supplies water to 300 townships and cities across the DPR and Ukrainian-controlled Donbass.

In late July, representatives of Ukraine at the Minsk talks have partially disclosed information on the Voda Donbassa financial situation during the meeting of the Contact Group.

In early October the DPR government has finalized a mechanism for Ukrainian debt repayments to the employees of the Voda Donbassa water company. *ot
