Three Ukrainian scouts trip mines in Zaitsevo – DPR militia

Donetsk, Jul 14 – DAN. A Ukrainian army sabotage and reconnaissance group tripped mines in the Zaitsevo area; one serviceman was killed; Ukraine is making no haste to evacuate his body, the Donetsk Republic Militia reported on Monday.

“Two mine explosions were recorded as a sabotage and reconnaissance group from 35th Brigade’s 137 Battalion was moving towards DPR positions,” the report said. “Two servicemen were wounded and one was killed on the spot.”

After the incident, strikes were delivered at Zaitsevo from Ukrainian army positions. The Ukrainian army scrambled a Phantom-type drone to adjust the fire. The drone was shot down.

“At Ukraine’s request, we provided security guarantees to let them evacuate the body of the killed serviceman,” the DPR militia said. “However, Ukraine has made no moves towards evacuation so far.”*jk
