Ukrainian Ukrainian forces violate ceasefire 15 times over 24 hours, damage recorded – JCCC

Donetsk, Apr 16 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the “spring ceasefire” 15 times over the past 24 hours firing 172 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 15 times expending 172 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Fire was delivered at the Staromikhailovka, Abakumov Colliery, Spartak and Vesyoloye neighbourhoods in the outskirts and suburbs of Donetsk, the Vasilyevka and Krutaya Balka villages outside Yasinovataya; Dokuchayevsk, and the Sakhanka village in southern DPR. The enemy employed 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms, he added.

Two houses and a car were damaged in Dokuchayevsk, according to the JCCC.The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire eight times firing 15 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
