Ukrainian army fires 70 artillery, mortar rounds at DPR over 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Jul 7 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire four times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 70 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory on the Gorlovka axis,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire four times expending 69 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

The enemy used 122mm artillery and 82mm and 120mm mortars. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Shakhta Gagarina, Zaitsevo and Shirokaya Balka settlements and the Komsomolets neighbourhood, the JCCC said.

A Voda Donbass pumping station in Gorlovka was damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces on Monday. Seven electrical substations went off line and water supply to more more than 3,000 customers in the Komsomolets neighbourhood was disrupted.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units fired 40 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas in five ceasefire violations.*jk
