Ukrainian army casualties reach six over past 24 hours – DPR militia

Donetsk, Mar 5 – DAN. The casualties of Ukrainian armed formations that shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic have reached six over the past 24 hours, DPR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.

Over the past 24 hours, militants of 58th and 30th Mechanised Brigades, 24th and 93rd Motorised Infantry Brigades, and 57th and 79th Air Assault Brigades delivered fire on the Gorlovka, Donetsk and Mariupol axes, Bezsonov said. The enemy used mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.

“DPR militiamen returned fire with weapons that were not prohibited by the Minsk Agreements .The Ukrainian army losses amounted to two dead and four wounded,” the spokesman said. “One Ukrainian serviceman was killed in the Lebedinskoye settlement area and the other in the Zaitsevo area.”

The DPR People’s Militia did not sustain any losses, Bezsonov said.

Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 22 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 442 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas. The shelling left some 200 customers in Sakhanka and Kominternovo without electricity.*jk
