Kiev forces fire at Gorlovka from Shumy settlement for second day running – JCCC

Donetsk, Dec 15 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired at the Shakhty 6/7 settlement in northwestern Gorlovka on Tuesday, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

Fire was delivered from the Shumy settlement at 12:40. An anti-tank grenade launcher was used, the JCCC said.

On Monday, Kiev forces delivered fire at this Gorlovka neighbourhood twice using recoilless guns and RPG anti-tank grenade launchers.

On September 10, Kiev derailed the joint inspection with the DPR and the OSCE in Shumy, whose objective was to see the real situation concerning Ukrainian army engineer works in the district.  Donetsk repeatedly said that Ukrainian forces had constructed fortifications outside Gorlovka in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures, and that they had advanced them to the Severskiy Donets – Donbass water duct arc planning to gain a foothold there.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
